It's funny how nobody has EVER pulled an Elite from those years of Donruss. But yet they're all over ebay. It tells you how many billions of cards they printed in those days...
Yeah man. That's the truth.
All of us need to get it together and A) have a will, and B) leave clear instructions in that will for our successors on how to dispose of our card collections.
I have both, but lately, after thinking about it more, I've realized I need to update the instructions...
Same as usual for me...
1) Continue to pick up Dave Parker cards.
2) Continue to pick up Roberto Alomar cards. 2025 was a banner year for finding rare inserts and parallels, here's hoping 2026 will bring more of the same!
Happy new year to everyone.
So here's what I wrote for 2025:
"My goals for this year are simple as usual.
1) More Alomar pickups. And this time I am targeting one white whale.
2) More Parker pickups. This is turning out to be really fun. But as I keep building that PC, the ones I need will become more rare and...
Yah. I'd never seen one until recently, when two appeared on ebay. Gouger #1 wants $1000, and Gouger #2 wanted $600 (although that listing disappeared). This one on COMC cost me $135, which I think is high but not outrageous, considering the scarcity and the fact that they were only distributed...

I hate to say it, but I agree.
Which sucks, because I like this board. It's the only form of social media I partake in. Would love to see some Beckett refugees join up.
New arrival - the 2003 Donruss Team Heroes Stat Line /11. Normally the Stat Line series was limited to the base Donruss issue, but for some reason they included one in this set. But they didn't do the usual Career and Season Stat Line versions, just one Stat Line. This one is numbered to 11, for...
You know, it sure feels good when you complete a run, doesn't it? It's one of my favorite things about collecting cards.
I got this one done the other day, 2005 Leaf. There were two cards in this series, the base card and one from a subset called "Passing Through Time", where the back of the...
