Great to see all the appreciation across the country for Gwynn. There will never be another person or player like Gwynn. Although I would love for one of the younger players to come up and make a run at .400 (I just hope he plays for the Padres or is from SD, keeping the tradition alive).- padremurph

Andrew Cashner...
I love how defensive the Cubs fans get. The Cubs badly need pitching and Cashner would provide a solid 1-2 punch with Smardzija. That young power hitting 1b doesn't do you any good when the rotation and the bullpen are getting shelled for major runs every game.- padremurph

Views on Jeter's Farewell Tour
I'm going to agree. Jeter contributes day in and day out. If anyone has benefited for the Yankees it's Mo. Not saying he's overrated at all but he definitely had more save opportunities than someone like Trevor Hoffman, due to playing for the Yankees.- padremurph

What are we talking? 10 minutes before each series? Who cares? It's fun to see what the teams come up w, except when the As steal your idea. Jeter is a legend and would probably get the tour if he was on any other team as well. Curious to see what the Red Sox give him.- padremurph
