    Tigers acquire Delmon Young

I used to be the biggest Delmon fan, but the fact of the matter is that the last 3 years he's been a well below average player. He is one of the worst defensive outfielder in the league and still hasn't learned any plate discipline. The plate discipline is the main reason why he hasn't been...

Topps Sues Leaf Over "Best Of" Product!

I don't post much but I can clear some things up here. Unlike most in this thread, I actually know a thing or two about the Lanham and Copyright Acts. This is not legal advice for anyone, but could provide some clarity on some of the issues: There are trademark issues- obviously having the...

Best Pen for Autos Test : Ruined a perfectly nice ROMLB...

I've been a big IP collector for years and new sharpies WILL streak on a glossy photo or card more often than not. Sometimes you get lucky, most times not when you use new sharpies. You have to break in the sharpies. Just get an old unsigned photo and sign your autograph on it a few times...

A little baseball history - what became an obsession /w pics

That's some nice stuff, but you better be extremely cautious if there is any natural light in the room. Old stuff like that and especially signed baseballs can fade quickly with UV exposure.

EBay Karma - Jackie Robinson Style

Nice pickup. I agree with the other poster, I like the 2B much better than the "N" swatch.

    Trevor Bauer Strikes Again

Pitchers also go every 5 days in the pros. Only once every 7 days in college. Another important thing to consider with a guy with such an explosive fastball like Cole in college, is the impact of aluminum bats. Although it's not as big as it was in the past with the new rule changes for...

The Bryce Harper Hysteria - Day 2 @ Lakewood

His signature has gotten much sloppier over the last 2 years. Just look at the "Luke" bible verse inscription. I got him on 5 or 6 things a few years ago and the signature is much different now.

    Trevor Bauer Strikes Again

The first time I saw Cole & Bauer pitch in person was when they were on Team USA two summers ago and I saw them both twice in game action. I was convinced that Bauer was a better pitcher then. He still might be better in the present, but there is no question who the best MLB prospect is...

Am I the only one who loves "old" prospects ?

If you are 28 years old, you are no longer a prospect but a AAAA player

    Adam Foster's Monthly Top 25

Pineda also doesn't have much of a change up. I know Dave Cameron is especially concerned about that.

Who will be the last pitcher to remain undefeated?

Whoever gets the luckiest. That's all wins are for pitchers.

    Milb Performances - 5/10

Kind of odd, but MILB boxscores show Matt Moore threw only 51 pitches today- 6ip, 7k, 4bb. Surely that can't be right

Teheran to start vs Phillies Tomorrow

Jurrjens is definitely not a potential ace, that is for sure.

    BA PROSPECT HOT SHEET 5/6

True, but since their criteria is fairly liquid I just assumed they'd put him there in wake of the call-up, not necessarily because he had a huge week. I guess that's kind of what they did by putting him at #2.

    BA PROSPECT HOT SHEET 5/6

I'm surprised they didn't have Big Hoz #1. He's going to rake in KC, effective immediately.

    Milb Performances - 5/4

    Matt Moore- 5IP, 2h, 1r, 2bb, 9k, 98 pitches 41K, 6bb, in 29.1 innings so far.

    Milb Performances - 5/4

I don't understand why people care about pitcher wins at any level. Totally meaningless stat. ERA is also pretty useless for the minor leagues, particularly at the lower levels. Walk rate, K rate, HR rate, and stuff like that is most useful at predicting future sucess.

An NCAA Pitcher's Dual For the Ages

No, it isn't. Though it is surprising that Bauer isn't getting more hype.
