With one less weapon for Seattle the trade isn't going to do Montero any favors.

Dj who and Danny huh? The Mariners really took a cut on the trade. Ichiro has been in steady decline for the past 2 years but I'm still scratching my head why they accepted the players they did for Ichiro.
Salary likely to have a large roll I'm guessing.

Salary is meaningless here. There is two months left in the season and Seattle is sending some money the Yanks way. I think he can do well in that lineup no matter where he bats and he can still run.
