    Didn't really feel any "religious connection" to this pope. On the other hand, I loved John Paul II. That guy was truly a champ.

    He didn't have much of a chance following in the footsteps of PJP2. He wasn't a very good pope and the Catholic church would probably be better off undoing some of the changes he made. I always felt like Benedict was taking them backwards.

    You said you want Catholics to question what they are told. Most do question a lot of things.
