Coin Experts Come In: Silver Dollars

I have 100 Eisenhower silver dollars that were given to me. Does anyone know what these are worth? I looked on ebay but I was confused they are all various years (not sure if that matters)

I need to come up with some money and just wondering if these are worth anything

Also, best way to clean them?

The most you will get is silver value, that is if they are actually silver. Most were copper-nickel and the ones from SF are 40% Silver. They will be stamped with an S below Eisenhower's head. Depending on condition and year you might get $5-10 each. FYI- you don't clean coins. It will not increase value, if anything might turn people off.

Well they haven't been stored too great and have tape residue on them.

So if they aren't the ones with the S stamp they aren't worth anything more than a $1?

    Thanks for your help

Only the silver ones were minted in San Francisco. If you have a gram scale, the 40% silver ones will weigh 24.59 grams. The copper/nickle variety will weigh 22.68 grams.

Probably not much more than face value. Uncirculated coins usually get a premium but the only way to make money with most coins is through volume.

I just took 107 to the bank to get (paper) cash. The S coins came out of proof sets and are pretty uncommon to find loose.

Just spend them. You can get more for your money now than a year from now.
