I had a moving company move mine from MN to WA. They put 3-4 boxes in a bigger box and had them packed pretty good. I think I had 1 3 row box open up in the move at some point and spilled as I pulled it out.

I called it a win. That was a move plus a month of storage.

    Label the boxes porn.

    Or dirty panties.

But seriously, as Musial Collector said, if you can't trust them in the first place, you've got bigger problems.

    Insure your collection through collectinsure.com

Pay an extra fee ($50 per $15K in declared value I believe) to have them covered for the move

Pack them well with cushioning around the card boxes

Get normal moving insurance through your moving company (per replacement value not assessment value)

You will be OK as long as you hire a reputable company. Check movingscams.com

reminds me of when I moved from Wa to So Cal.. Since I had them ship my car, I loaded all my good cards in the trunk.. Since it was a car valued over $40K they shipped my car in an enclosed car hauler..

Now I wonder if his cards made it out here..

worst idea ever! Use any kind of trailer (and especially UHAUL) and you might as well spray paint "STEAL ME!!!!" on it.

happens all the time at hotels here - people moving across country stay at the hotel and crooks (and likely ones tipped off by hotel staff even!) break into or steal trailers in hotel parking lots overnight.
