Koji Uehara has to be pretty close if the minimum is like 65 IP....

He has a disgusting WHIP of 0.562 in 67.2 IP

Some other stats:

ERA is 1.06

9 BB to 94 K...10/1 K:BB!

12.5 K/9

Is this the greatest relief season of all time?

I can't believe the Rangers didn't use him more last year. He only appeared in 37 games and had an ERA of 1.75 and and WHIP of 0.639

Career WHIP is 0.834 and that's with 12 games as a starter.

Who knows where he will end up by the end of the regular season, but yes, he currently owns the record for WHIP by a reliever in any given season with .56, second is Eckersley two times with .61, according to fangraphs.

Another amazing relief feat this season is Huston Street's current LOB% of 100%. That has apparently never happened in a full season as the second best ever (as of right now) is 97.8% by Calvin Schiraldi in 1986.

It's been a crazy season for relievers. Uehara has been insane but somehow does not have the lowest ERA amongst relievers. Craig Kimbrel with his .91 ERA has given up just 1 run since the beginning of June.

edit: Spoke to soon, Kimbrel gave up a run tonight.
