Top #Mariners LH pitching prospect Danny Hultzen had surgery today in Florida to repair labrum and rotator cuff. No timetable set on Hultzen's return, though a partial tear of rotator cuff is not a quick return.

Just like Michael Pineda?

And Pineda only had a "discrete tear" in his labrum and no rotator cuff damage.

I realize for flipping purposes, this statement will make no sense, BUT, this is why I refuse to pay out for prospect autos for my sets and they take so long to complete! Sounds like this could be a $6 card in a bit... or less!

My point was that "he'll just be fine" is a little off the mark.

Pineda was younger than Danny Hultzen when he had surgery. Pineda is going to be 25 before he throws a pitch for the Yankees.
