With SportsCardsList.com, I am continually trying to push the envelope and develop one of the most useful and comprehensive sports cards and collectible websites on the Internet. Today marks a pretty monumental achievement with the site - and something that may become revolutionary for the entire card market.
Until today, we've relied on a number of out-dated and antiquated methods for getting card price values. We all know that the secondary card market is a very erratic ecosystem and prices can change with every touch down thrown or torn ACL. With our new pricing delivery system, we will be capturing pricing trends to help educate our users on the short term and long term values of their cards, as well as provide trending information for those who are interested in what items are the most volatile and changing daily.
For now, we are running our Pricing System on some very small sample sizes and will start to open it more widely across the site and for more sets as the system is refined and dialed-in.
Today, we have open up the real-time pricing on 2013 Contenders Football. You are able to view each checklist and card in the set with the link below. Once you click on a set and a particular card, you will see some statistics of recent sales over the 30 days. We will start to narrow the scope of the pricing windows and show trends and we gather more data on each release.
