Anyone have all 4 printing plates for a single card?

I've thought about how cool it'd be to actually have all 4 printing plates from a single card and maybe framing them left to right and having the actual card to the far right... kind of like showing the 4 plates which were used to create the card, I don't know - I think it's cool

Lets see it if you have it! I am close on a couple, having 2 and 3 of the plates but not 4! :(

I think it was 2005 where Donruss DK issued plates in a set (redemption, Challenge set or similar), so it is easier than you might think. However, I didn't win my set that year and have only been able to scrounge together 3 of any given set so far.

Hmmm that's interesting, I'd like to see one if a member has one!

Outside of that situation, I think getting all 4 plates is rather tough IMO - maybe this thread will prove me wrong if members are posting like crazy with their 4 plates.

Packing out plates and having to hope someone lists them (there are actually people who don't sell everything under the sun if they get it) and then actuating winning or negotiating for each one is a chore. Other than a pre made set that was issued or sold that way, I'd agree that tracking down all 4 and obtaining them would not be easy in most cases, even commons. I'm sure there are people that have done it though. Maybe we'll see shortly.

Totally agree - That I guess is my point because I have a 2 of a lot of cards and I think 3 of one card but not 4 and probably never will have all 4 of a single card. Like you said, even commons have to be very tough to get.

'06 UD had all 4 plates as a 'redemption' set. I had the Brian Jordan's, I think. I know it was a Brave, but sold them nearly as fast as I got them.

This is correct. I own all 4 of the Matt Holliday 2005 Diamond Kings plates:

As far as your idea for framing, why not put the Platinum 1/1 in there to make it a true 5/5 1/1 framing?:

Fun fact - 2005 was the only time Holliday appeared on a Diamond Kings card.

Also have 2 of the 4 2013 Ginter Wilin Rosarios:

Not a big deal but I have 2 of 4 Joe Girardi (as a player) probably from a late 90s Stadium Club. Hard to remember, I know I got them many years apart. I will get a scan later tonight.

I have a couple full sets of Justin Morneau's that I put together when I was collecting him. I no longer collect him since I chose to focus solely on Kirby Puckett collection so I will probably move them eventually. Let me see if I have any scans.

I'd love to get 4 of a packed-out plate set to for the guys I collect. Best I have done is four of the 2009 Topps Tribute Plates. I think this would be an awesome one to complete, since the parallels were also CMYK colored.

Have 4 sets of 4, and 7 sets with 3 plates. I wasn't even collecting when the first set (2005 Rookie Cup) came out, which makes it all the more astonishing that I was able to find all four plates.

I'm 3/4 on two different cards from '05 Retired Signatures. I'm still hopeful the ones I'm missing will show up some day.

There are some sets that were questionable to me, like early (and even later) Pacific plates. I have a few singles of some of their Legends sets from the late 80s/early 90s. I know that stuff never came from packs, so presumably they were back doored or sold by an insider…or FAKE. I can't be sure. I'd say the same for the Collectors Edge earlier in the thread. Feel free to correct me if i am wrong here, but older plates are unheard of before Pinnacle started to release them in the late 90s.
