It's market manipulation. I love Trout and own $4500 worth of his '09 stuff, but it's people artificially inflating the price. No way ANY gold ref should sell for $15k, ever

Mint Pujols #/500 (350) went for $10K...in the right market $15K for a Gold ref auto #/50 of a prospect with a high ceiling isn't surprising imho.

I've been buying Pujols BC's since they were $350 in 2001. NEVER did they touch $10k for a mint copy. Maybe half that for a few in October '06

The auction was posted at the old Beckett Baseball board, and if i remember right it was a PSA GEM MINT 10. Not sure if it turned out legit but Beckett did an piece on it.
