Why topps needs 7 months for pre orders is mind boggling!

Panini is less than two months and leaf is about a month if not less.

You have been buying for your store so you know better than me, But wouldnt you think you have a better handle on what you need if a product is due out in 3 months rather than 7?

Absolutely.

Think of this, next month they will take pre orders for bowman draft which is due December.

So they want orders in a MONTH before a single draft pick is chosen, let alone signed!

Has this always been Topps' policy?
Maybe that's the way Topps has been doing it for decades, before the internet and quicker production technology, and they never changed their antiquated rules.

No, it's relatively recent.
I believe it used to be a couple of months in advance.
