Derek Jeter today passed Paul Molitor for 8th place on the career hits list.
He should pass Yaz and Wagner this season and retire 6th on the list.

1. Pete Rose 4,256
2. Ty Cobb 4,189
3. Hank Aaron 3,771
4. Stan Musial 3,630
5. Tris Speaker 3,514
6. Honus Wagner 3,420
7. Carl Yastrzemski 3,419
8. Derek Jeter 3,320
9. Paul Molitor 3,319
10. Eddie Collins 3,315

(Cap Anson had an estimated 3,435 hits, but ESPN and other sports outlets did not include him because he's pre-1900.)

Hope he doesn't pass Yaz :( But congrats to Jeter for passing Molitor...one helluva achievement.

Looks like Jeter will finish his career at #6 all-time. He has a chance at #5 but will have to stay healthy and put together a great season.

At this point passing any players will not be that much significant. His card already way overprice since the retire announcement. I wait till next year when people get tired talking about him and move on to the next young & up coming Shortstop rookies. That when is good time to buy his auto for lot cheaper than is now.
