Johnson (elbow) could need Tommy John surgery, Yahoo! Sports' Jeff Passan reports.
Club officials told Passan that they are worried Johnson will need TJ surgery, which comes as no surprise, as we already knew Johnson's season was in danger and he was headed to visit Dr. James Andrews. He has tried to rehab the injury since spring training, and the lack of results have led him to this point. Those in single-season leagues without a DL spot can probably cut bait with Johnson at this point. Johnson could be the 22nd confirmed player this season to have the UCL replacement surgery.
