Most iconic BASE CARDS last 30 years?

No autos, inserts, game used, numbered, short printed need apply. Only base cards last 30 years.

Which do you consider iconic?
I'll post a couple

I think everyone's answers will depend on when they started collecting (younger/newer collectors will pick recent cards).
But as a kid of the '80s, my choices are the '84 Donruss Mattingly, '85 Topps USA McGwire, '86 Donruss Canseco and the '89 Upper Deck Griffey first, since Griffey's career didn't fade out early like McGwire, Mattingly and Canseco:

Ones that come to my mind in the 80s-90s. Some are update / traded cards , not sure those fit what you meant.

80 Topps Henderson
82 Topps and TT Ripken
83 TT Strawberry
84 Fleer Update Puckett n Clemens
84 Donruss Mattingly
85 Topps McGwire
86 Donruss Canseco
*87 Fleer Bonds and Clark
87 Donruss McGwire , possibly Maddux
89 UD Griffey
90 Score Bo
92 Bowman Piazza , Rivera , maybe Manny
93 SP Jeter
94 SP ARod
94 Upper Deck ARod
95 Bowmans Best Vladimir , maybe Andruw
97 Bowman Chrome Kerry Wood

Give or take on some...

at the time when i was growing up the 87 Fleer / Donruss / Topps Will Clark and Barry Bonds cards were really hot. Maybe not iconic for purposes of this thread but for my childhood i woudl rank them right there with the other 86/87 cards listed by others (eg, 86 Canseco)

p.s. i still remember pulling an 87 topps mcgwire from a wax pack! just came back to me tonight...trip down memory lane
I collect Pedro Martinez, Mike Piazza, Clayton Kershaw, Dodgers prospects and Trevor Bauer (and anything nice that catches my eye)

Austin beat me to it, for me it's the 1989 UD Griffey RC. I also agree with his comment on it depends on when you started collecting, etc.

I also would of thought the ARod RC was probably more of an impact for me (maybe others) over the Jeter RC back when those came out... I just remember the ARod being such an iconic cards to acquire and it's so sad to see those as low as $12 freaking dollars on COMC! I mean I remember when you couldn't touch one of those for under $100 haha.

Also, similar to the ARod, is the McGwire RC. God I remember being at the National when I was a kid in the '90s and wanting to find one of those I could afford or trade for... there was no chance but today those are under $5 on COMC! Under a five dollar bill! Like whoa.

I agree on the 1987 Topps as being iconic. It was the boom era set and everyone had to have it!

Cards that stood out from that set were:

Plus the aforementioned Will Clark card.

The 1991 Stadium Club Nolan Ryan (in a tuxedo) was big for quite a while. It took me a couple years to get one at a reasonable price back in the day (pre ebay).

What about the 2010 Jeter #40 ? It certainly caused quite a stir when it was released.
