Not sure how that makes anything "official".

Yeah no one ever truly retires. They all get the urge to come back.

Or the bank statement. What's Punk got to fall back on?

I honestly believe that he will come back. He doesn't seem the type of rest on his laurels so to speak when he can still accomplish more

Can't really dive into movies bc he doesn't have the "it" factor for cinema
An appearances at ComicCons can only go so far.... signed all the best Phil Brooks... Hahahha

He'll run out of money like most people do and call Vince back
    Just a matter of when

His contract ends between today and the 17th and WWE already moved him to the Alumni section

The pic is a response to someone saying "Thank You Punk."

I never said he was retired, I said he was done with WWE

I'm sure in 2 years he will be back

Isn't there some type of clause that allows the WWE to automatically renew him?

Yes but they decided not to invoke it

Smart move too because there would have been no chance he ever came back if they did that

So, anyone think TNA's ratings would skyrocket if Punk signs with em?

    Good riddance.

    Piss on him.

I'm sure he has enough money to last him the rest of his life. He had made a ton, and lives pretty frugally.

Still, glad he is gone, and I hope he never comes back, not even for a one-off appearance.

He wants to turn his back on the fans, and be a prick in the process, then I don't want him around.

I don't see him going to TNA. I doubt they could afford his contract. Maybe New Japan or something if he gets bored and wants to wrestle.

I don't get the hate some people have for him leaving. He evidently takes pride in what he does and didn't like how he was being used. Also WWE doesn't like the fact that they don't own a trademark or whatever on his name. I hope to see him return.

I think WWE is rather boring. I get tired of seeing the same matches over and over. How many straight weeks have the Usos wrestled the Wyatts. How many times have we seen Cena vs Orton. WWE needs some more talent on the roster in my opinion.

I was the biggest Punk fan on the board by far, probably.

Punk isn't on Hogan, Rock, or even Cena's level. He doesn't have the clout to call his own shots. He's not that guy.

He deserves the hate he is getting. He didn't want to 'work', so he took his ball and went home, like a little *****. Austin could do that, because Austin is one of, if not THE biggest star this business has ever seen. Punk was an overachiever who die hard fans loved. And he didn't want to do business the way the company wanted him to, so he bolted. Which he shouldn't have. He worked his ass off to make it up through the ranks, and was finally given the ball. And what's he do? Takes that ball and goes home because he doesn't want to work with HHH? Come on son. He turned his back on the fans, and the company. And don't get me started on how big of a prick he is to the common fan in public. I just don't get it. Someone is a die hard fan who works their whole life to achieve something, and when they get there they treat everyone like ****? That's not cool at all.

Punk didn't have the clout to do what he did. There are people in the back who are **** on night in and night out in WWE, and they stay. Imagine being Zack Ryder, who's virtually been anally raped for years now by the company, when he was so hot at one point and had so much potential. Now he is never used, and is getting ****ed on royalties hardcore.

But Punk on the other hand was given EVERYTHING by the company. He was given millions of dollars, his own private tour bus, the longest World Title reign in modern history, besting Hogan, Austin and Rock. That's very important stuff. And not to mention a new t-shirt being released on WWE Shop virtually every month that he is going to make bank on. He was catered to just like John Cena. And that ****'s still not good enough for him to want to stay and do what the company asks him? **** him then. Piss on him. He can go get season tickets at Wrigley and live his live privately. For these reasons I hope he doesn't come back. And if he were ever to want to, I hope HHH, Vince and Stephanie tell him to get lost.

I never liked him that much. Just didnt get the hype. He's an above average wrestler and has mic skills, but is not a guy to carry a company. Bye bye.

Couldn't agree with you any more
    +1

His entrance music was better than him

And his obviously orchestrated pipebomb shoot was his claim to fame

People loved him for 2 reasons:

1- he's small, quite the alternative to normal wwe title contenders

    2-he's a ROH alumni
