Any tips on making a shadow box?

I'm debating about making a shadow box containing items from our recent family trip.

Does anyone here have any tips or hints?
    Does anyone here do them?

While most of the items will be flat, there will be a rubber wristband, how should I make that stick?

Yes, stand in front of a bright light, pretend to box and look at the wall.

My best tip is go to Hobby Lobby and just buy one.

If you want to ever remove the stuff, buy a box that you can push pins into. Otherwise, just glue stuff. And it probably doesn't need to be said, but lay everything out before you glue anything down.

Also remember that the human eye sees things incorrectly from top to bottom. Meaning if you measure stuff exactly from the top edge and the bottom edge, it will still look like it's actually closer to the bottom edge by about 1/2 to 1/2 inch. Either just be aware, or shift your stuff up to trick your eye.

Thanks so far all, I didn't mean I wanted to physically build the actual wooden box, just how to mount the contents inside it, and any tips.

3M makes some good products that you could use like Velcro and double sides sticky things
