Unless he flat lied his suspension should be two games . Not because I don't want it more , but because the suspension shouldn't change after it is given due to public outcry. That should fall on the "rules" , not on Rice .
If he lied , and that's what caused the NFL to look so bad , a year is fitting. But as much of what he did deserved a large suspension , a lot falls on lack of fact finding which isn't his fault .
