I'm not bandwagon-ing... but my pick for a winner would be the Royals. Just to see someone different. Followed by the Orioles - then a DISTANT Cards then Giants.

    Bumgarner is a complete stud.

    Great performance from him tonight.

    I believe Wainwright is hurt.

I think Waino is burned out for this year. We got our asses kicked today.
I hope Lynn keeps doing what he has been doing, if not we are done.

Madison Bumgarner is a boss! Learn from him Clayton Kershaw :P

But looking forward to game two. I expect the Cardinals to come out swinging in full force after losing Game 1 at home.

Wainwright throws so many pitches every season.

Even if he wants to, or can, I think next season Matheny needs to dial him back in some games, just so he isn't exhausted when the postseason comes.

I was thinking the same thing earlier in the season. There was a September game in Milwaukee, Cardinals up big in late innings, Wainwright comes back out for 9th inning and I'm thinking "Why put him back out there for another inning of a blowout game?".I also hated Matheny let a reliever hit in the 5th inning with a runner on down 3.Not a good game for him.

All hail Bumgarner.25 straight scoreless innings.

NLDS (4 games) + NLCS (2 games) = Giants have been out-homered 8-1. That's not going to cut it.

Or give Wacha a shot. One shot. And see how it goes. Could be another 06 Waino.

man, I feel for Wong and Carpenter. Cardinals postseason heroes seem to go from hero to zero (see Freese). Wong and Carpenter IMHO have been heroes this posteason. The good news is that they won't go zero this postseason so the Cardinals have a fighting chance for another WS title.

Great game tonight. I kept clicking back and forth betwwen the baseball game and another blowout NFL night game. Go Eagles! Cardinals were smart to add A.J. to their NLCS roster. He should get the start in game 3. Cruz didn't look good behind the plate tonight. Rosenthal looked awful. He might be too sore from tonight to pitch in game 4 Tuesday. Maness looked ok but I'm glad Sandoval swung at ball 3. And that the ball was hit right to Maness. I hope Molina has a fast recovery. It would be cool to see a Royals/Cardinals World Series with a lot of home runs and extra inning games.

    Question.

Considering the Cardinals do defeat the Giants and advance to the World Series.

Kolten Wong is a rookie. But this will be his second time playing in the World Series.

I wonder if that has ever happened before with another 2nd baseman?
