Adrian Beltre just joined the 400 HR Club. Anyone have some Beltre stuff to show off? I'd also like to here the HOF opinions on him

He has been a very solid player for a number of years. By the time he is done he will have some impressive stats and I think he will get in the hall.

Congrats to Beltre, a quiet 400 HRs no doubt. He was fun to watch in Boston and I'm glad he is starting to warm up at the plate after his terrible month of April.

Besides his HR totals, what are any other stats about Beltre that would be HOF worthy?

Not saying he isnt a great player but Im just wondering

He has a good shot at getting to 3,000 hits. Biggio proved that 3,000 gets you into the HOF

Four gold gloves and four silver sluggers, plus some close MVP finishes, 400+ HR and a shot at 3000 hits. It's very possible he'll accumulate enough accolades to make it.

So what's Biggio doing there then?

Beltre is quickly turning into a no doubt HOF.
Biggie has 3000 hits, Beltre does not. Keep in mind Biggio was not a hall of famer until the day he got his 3000 hit which is going to be the same for Beltre. I don't think he gets it as we already see the decline. Beltre will not be a hall of famer until the day he gets 3000 hits, which he has a better chance of than 500 hrs.

Here's the list of 3B with 400+ HR, 2600+ hits, and 4 Gold Gloves.

Mike Schmidt & Adrian Beltre

He's a lock at this point. You can't keep a Top 10 all-time 3B out of the HOF.

He's certainly better than HOFer Ron Santo
342 HR, 2254 Hits and 5 Gold Gloves

That was a question that needed not an answer. And I disagree re: Beltre unless you want to completely ignore the defensive side of the game.

Not that I give much a hoot about the hall these days anyway.
