No cards for me this month, so I'll live vicariously through you. Post 'em up!

Got in a 1991 Bowman PSA 10 Jim Thome RC #68 . Cool card. I'm not really into graded cards but I thought it would be cool to have PSA 10's of Thome's 2 rookie cards from 1991. I got in his 1991 UD Final Edition #17F PSA 10 earlier this year.

Not valuable, but I love non-parallel refractors. Puts me at an even 200 for my refractor type set...out of 638. I'm gonna have to rethink this and maybe do one refractor from each set (instead of every parallel color for every set)

This pretty much guarantees that I'll find the other 3 that I lost soon

It's not a baseball card but I'm sure most of you are familiar with many of the 30 players that signed this Team USA baseball from the 2001 Futures Game. Notable signers include Adrian Gonzalez, Chase Utley and (my ultimate reason for wanting the ball) Adam Dunn.

Love the Diamond Stars! I'll never complete it, but I enjoy picking up a card now and then. This one arrived today.

I have no idea why about half of the cards were signed along the edge and the other half signed in the middle by Zimmer. My collecting OCD dictated that sooner or later I would own it both ways, so bought the edge version today.

Not a card for me, but something like this always reinvigorates my collecting interest when a previously unknown (to me) item comes to market. I'd rather find something like this every time than to fight over the latest same old artificially scarce card that is printed in a quantity of 25 or less, often now with no logo or team name and the same recycled photo from the last 10 card issues! Oddball is my passion.

This Tuned In guide from 1985 showed up the other day with a $9.99 OBO price. I have a couple others of the same type with Garvey on the cover already, so it is possible others exist as well, but this is definitely a type of item that probably never got saved in any real quantity. I mean really…who saved all or even some of their TV Guides? I thank the people who did save the various TV and newspaper guides that featured Garvey that have made their way into my collection over the years, but those are rare exceptions I am sure.

I didn't really want to pay $10 for it, but given the nature of the item and the response time of some sellers when offers are sent, I just snapped it up at the asking price. With Gwynn on there too, it increased the odds that someone else less cheap than me would just buy it out from under me! besides, in the big picture of things, I might have saved 3-4 bucks and if I missed it because of that, I would have been pissed at myself.

Small card show in South San Francisco yesterday. Note: Do not take your pregnant wife to shows, it will be a really quick trip. Forgive the side way pics, I tried editing them with no luck

Nice stuff everyone!
I picked up these extras for cheap:

Also, these two cards are special for 2 reasons.
One: they put me just one card shy of having every first-year Bowman Chrome autograph released to this point (I have 984 of the 985). I now just need the 2001 Albert Pujols. I can bask in the warmth of this knowledge for a couple more weeks until Bowman Draft comes out. LOL.
Two: they were basically paid for by cjedmonton and his playoffs contest generosity. Thanks again Chris!
