Morning ladies and gents. 5 days from the new year I haven't seen a thread yet.
I only accomplished half of my '15 goals but it was a great year for my collection and deemed a success. Moving forward into the new year what would you like to accomplish?
Here's mine

1) get all the supplies I need and get my PC into said supplies and organized. Get rid of all old supplies (top loaders, snap cases, magnetics, screw downs)

2) continue to work on my auto sets. Finishing one is not feasible really but to progress and add a few especially to one of them would be huge.

3) Buy a box of something pre-2009 To rip. 95% Likely won't get anything I'm looking for but would be fun.

4) continue to save and add a mantle sweet spot

That's It for me really, had a bigger list last year but other than the enormity of the sets I'm doing, my collection has narrowed and focused to a point I don't feel overwhelmed by new releases and the "rush" to get the same old crap

Here we go:

1) Complete my Brewers all-time roster autograph project for all players appearing before the start of 2016 season (and add those who debut this year as available)

2) Complete 2 vintage Milwaukee Braves team sets

3) Complete my '57 Braves roster custom autograph set

4) Complete '87 Fleer Brewers signed team set

5) Add one new Jeff Cirillo card I don't have

6) at some point submit some more Dale Sveum cards for grading

7) Be patient, spend less, don't start any new projects (it's a long shot)

Nothing too crazy,

1) Like yourself, get all the needed supplies to get my PC organized the way I want. Some toploads, magnetics, labels, maybe one more box, etc.

2) Get over 350 mark of my current focus year of 1996 in my Frank Thomas collection. Currently at 318 of 416 (I believe) but starting to run into higher priced and rarer cards which make my budget hurt.

3) Get the custom card I want made done by Tanner aka Mouschi :)

Good luck on all the goals, here's to happy collecting in 2016!

My goal is to set no goals! Actually I'd like to stop buying anything else except for the essential Steve Garvey items I have never seen or do not already own, but that is nearly an impossible goal. I have so many other "non-priority" interests that keep it exciting and end up looking when nothing new comes in on the Garvey front. Autographs, vintage and oddball Dodgers, etc.

To inch closer to finishing my 98 and 99 Topps Gold Label Griffey collection. I have all three classes on both (gold and black), have some of the red labels. Need those to complete, but not pay absurd prices.

I did not have a Griffey autograph. Acquired two in the past month (one of them a 2015 Dynasty #/10 in a Reds uniform). Would like to get one in a Mariners uniform.

Get everything into protective cases.

Maybe get some low numbered 90's Donruss inserts and the Topps Tiffany and Bowman Tiffany RC.

At one time I had a massive Griffey collection, sold most of everything about 15 years ago and just getting back into it.

Good luck to completing your goals and Happy New Year.

Continue buying promo and sample cards I like.

Maybe even actually count, instead of guesstimate, how many different ones I actually have. My guess is probably like 1200 different.

I also need to sort them more often as I have a stack of newly picked up ones I haven't done yet plus others.

I was going to start this thread tonight lol. I am going to steal your number 1

1) Get all the supplies I need and get my PC into said supplies and organized. Get rid of all old supplies (top loaders, snap cases, magnetics, screw downs).

I am very well on my way to doing this for my Dawson collection but have done a horrible job for my son's Brees collection. I have plans to build some custom cabinets for all my boxes.

2) Buy less duplicates and concentrate on cards I don't have. I made great strides in this quest this year but would like to work on it a little more this year and be willing to pay slightly more for cards I don't have than I currently am willing to pay.

3) I need a PSA 10 1985 and 1986 Topps Dawson.

4) Give away 99% of my non Dawson and non Bress collection

I will organize all of my cards, nearly organizing them, and stop making impulse purchases. :D

In all seriousness, I plan to finish my 1948 Bowman Football collection and add either the Demmitt or Hara T206.

Too many:

1) (I still need to count up and see what I've currently got, so this part will be edited once that's done) Get up to 250 1/1's of JJ and 1300 pack pulled certified autographs.

2) Get up to 300 Jace Amaro auto's

3) Same as the rest; upgrade the toploads / magnetics for the JJ's, anyways.

4) Acquire 1/2 dozen cornerstone Doug Martin cards

5) Get 100 Marqise Lee auto's

6) If I start collecting another player or ten, I'm hoping I can stick to guys I've collected in the past and restart those collections (Derrek Lee, Bob Abreu & Mark Kotsay being first and foremost).

7) Get 20 auto's on photo's personalized to my daughter. This year, I was able to get 9 (10 if you count the Young Bucks as two) :\ (Kyle Gibson, Dan Gladden, Caleb Thielbar, The Young Bucks, A.J. Styles, Jay Lethal, Dalton Castle, Adam Cole & Evan Bourne). May 7th, in Superior, Wisconsin, Heavy on Wrestling has an event and the Million Dollar Man, Ted Dibiase will be there, so, that means I will be too (as I'm such a massive mark for he and especially his character from the late 80's Super Mario

8) Make it to trade night 25 in St. Louis at a buddy's card shop in Florissant, MO and the National in A.C., to meet up with and meet for the first time. I just miss a lot of the human interaction with everyone, well, not EVERYONE, but the folks I consider friends or folks I'd love to meet up with, for the first time.

9) Write at least 5 letter's to organizations to players I follow, just thanking them for giving so many folks an outlet from whatever they're dealing with and to live vicariously through them and the successes in the sport that they excel at.

I'm sure there's more, but that's enough of my rambling ... for now.

Was contemplating this a week or so ago and didn't post in the 2015 one so maybe this will keep me on track.

1- Get my collection organized both physically and on computer

2-Same as many, standardize my supplies and way I store stuff

3-Move the non-PC stuff to transfer to PC items

4-Add 4-6 Vintage/HOF Patch PC items

5-Add 4-6 PSA 10 Random RCs of HOFers

6-Add 15+ oddball items to Will Clark Collection

7-Add 10+ items from my top 50 Clark want list

8-Add 5+ Mike Brown items

9-Start purchasing 90s wax for a big break at end if year (would like 20+ boxes)

10-Figure out how to get to National next year (2017)

11-Add 10+ autos to my very slow 1996 Leaf Signature Set
