They went out of their way to let people know it wasn't a sequel.

The title was a bit of a misnomer as I was expecting the same as you.

Just finished watching The Neon Demon on Amazon Prime, and had to come immediately to this thread to save the rest of you from wasting two hours of your life.

I saw that it was directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, who directed Drive, which I loved. I hated The Neon Demon so much that it almost cancels out my love of Drive.

It's an artsy, pretentious piece of crap.

So very bad. Avoid like the Noid.

The new star wars movie that came out last year - force awakens. Kind of tainted the rest of the series for me. Rogue one was pretty great though!

I don't understand this at all. I didn't dislike Rogue One but I didn't think anyone disliked Episode 7 let alone would think Rogue One was better. Rogue One was a good rebellion movie set in the Star Wars universe. But as a movie it didn't really add anything and felt a bit unnecessary. Awesome ending though. Surprised there wasn't a Rogue One thread around here

Apparently I live under a rock. Not going to change my dislike for a rapey movie under the guise of an alien invasion movie.

just found one - rebel without a cause!

I know it's supposed to be classic and such, but I sat through 30 mins of that boring junk before I gave up and let the rest of the family watch it because they still wanted to. Apparently James Dean was famous because of his good looks rather than his acting ability.

I watched The Force Awakens again yesterday. I really like it.

Haven't seen Rogue One yet though.

I still think Rey is Han and Leia's daughter, and that Finn is Lando's son.

I would agree with this assessment. James Dean, or his likeness was pretty much the character the Fonz was created to be.

My kids made me watch Underdog last night. Ok, it's not the cartoon but geez. The movie is THAT bad! When it was over, my 6yr old even said 'about time'.
