Yeah, I’m not sure what it means Magic. Artists Proof obviously fits by initials at least, but I’m just not sure that’s what it means either. Maybe, maybe not.

I just haven’t chased these porcelain cards very much at all until very recently... so, I don’t know much about them.

Comparing it to the 1998 Keeper card, it’s of course not hand numbered and the card is also missing the printed text “#” that goes before the blank line for the hand written number and the printed text “/500” after the line for the hand written number. Since it’s missing that text, the handwritten number line is much longer than the Keeper card.

Everything else is identical with the 1998 Keepers I have. Who knows? I dig it either way and it’s different enough from the other Keeper for me to consider it an obvious variation of some sort...

Finally found a 2004 UD SP Chirography /40 to go with the /25 duo tone I already had. On card Puckett autos are the best! He had a great signature.

I keep forgetting to take pictures and scan stuff to show here. Taking some PTO next week so hopefully then. But I did manage to dig this out for a photo. In the early 90's, there were advertising placards in the newspaper vending machines. It was always tough to find a good one to take because they were usually paper, and would get wet, torn, or were already gone. I still have a few, but this is the Kirby one.20200619_181350.jpeg

Anyone seen many of these unnumbered versions out in the wild? Up until recently I had only seen the hand numbered versions, but a single seller made 3 or 4 unnumbered Puckett’s available...

Nice. I have a handful of different ones of these too. I'll have to dig them out and post them.

Pleased to recently acquire the 2004 Donruss Classics Legendary Hats /25 card. While there are many post-career Puckett cards that don't catch my eye and that I don't pursue, I like the 2004 Donruss Classics Legendary ________ cards.

Still looking for the following Puckett cards, including several that don't have game used materials...

2004 Donruss Classics Legendary Hats #LH-16 (#/50)
2004 Donruss Classics Legendary Jackets #LJ-16 (#/50)
2004 Donruss Classics Legendary Jerseys Game Used Jersey – Number (#/50)
2004 Donruss Classics Legendary Jerseys Game Used Jersey – Prime
2004 Donruss Classics Legendary Pants #LP-16 (#/50)
2004 Donruss Classics Legendary Spikes #LS-16 (#/100)

These newspaper box sign are so cool thanks for sharing. I remember only seeing that Puckett/Winfield version in the past.

I really liked that ‘04 Donruss Classics run. Donruss brands were definitely my favorite.

Those oddball cards are still so cool. It’s sad to see many of those companies no longer in business now though. Woolworth, Revco, KayBee Toys, Ames and even Kmart is nearing its end. They closed the last one we had open here last year or so.

I remember going to all of those stores except Ames, we didn’t have them where I lived. They bring back good memories for me.
