It is. Thought that was pretty cool.

Iíve picked up a few contracts of Negro League players now and am finding them exceedingly cool items!

Snagged the Topps Fire Inferno of my guy! Super stoked. Retail short prints have been the most difficult cards to obtain for me over the years

This came in the mail yesterday. I think it's one of the cooler things in my collection honestly. It isn't a card, of course, but the editor's note and the addition of the caption make it really interesting in my opinion.

Anyone who follows and loves baseball should know its history, and know who Bill Veeck was

Disco Demolition Night!, Eddie Gaedel, Fans as Manager Night...gotta love Bill Veeck and the fun he brought to baseball, even if the league wasn't always happy about it

He integrated the American League by signing Larry Doby to the Indians, after a failed bid to buy the Phillies in 1942 and fill the entire roster with Negro League players.

He was the only owner to testify for Curt Flood in his Federal hearings trying to take down the Reserve Clause.

He was also a veteran and lost his right leg in World War II.

He is one heck of an interesting character for sure. Every one who loves baseball history needs to read Veeck...as in Wreck at least once.
