Like a lot of stores that carry cards, an outside company supplies the "trading cards" so they are not included in the store closing and most are/were pulled prior to the sales. I tried to hit our local store to see if any deals were to be had and i got a couple packs and a TWD board game for 30% off. I had to fight for the 30% off but they gave it to me because it was the suppliers fault for to pulling the items and not checking all locations in the store for them. it was really more the employees were pissed that they are not told anything about how long they have left to work and didn't care about the sale prices at that point and didn't want to argue too much.
