    All these refractor colors

When i left the hobby a few years back, BC had Supers, Reds, Golds, Blues, X's, and plain refractors. Now they have green, purple, and blue wave.
Obviously they look different and have different print runs, but the blue and blue wave are numbered to 150.

Is a blue better to collect/prospect than a blue wave? Any info would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Too many color types, too many fakes, too many guys chasing the next batch. The whole prospecting thing is going to implode soon IMO. I'd pick a cheap color that visually matches the card style and just collect those for fun. Any long term prospecting besides lemon chiffon is probably asking for trouble.

I have tried in the past to prospect some to make extra money to work on my Boggs and Vintage stuff. I have had some success and many failures, but it keeps it interesting and fun.
    Thanks for the laughs.

The answer is yes, Blue seems to be more preferable than Blue Wave

Thank you Andy. I was thinking that is what the sales on E Bay were telling me, but just needed to make sure.

I'm with you...the collecting market is WAY oversaturated with 15 different variations of the same card that it won't sustain interest and products will begin to flop. I feel the same way about GU cards, too...and 1/1s.

I pulled a Chartreuse #'d/124 Otani the other day from a retail pack, but when I turned it over it was #'d to 139! I was so mad! Turns out to be a Peridot!

Has Topps increased production, necessitating the need to add more and more colored refractors parallels?

As for colors, I'm with team Turquoise.
