So I've been slowly taking pictures of my Rockies team sets, here are a few if any of you are interested:

2018 Topps Series 1 Father's Day Blue /50:

2015 Topps Series 1 & 2 Pink /50:

2015 Topps Update Pink /50:

Any comments on how to better photo team sets? I'm a total noob photographer, and was wondering if anyone had decent tips to produce better images of 15-20 cards at a time.

If it were me scanning team sets, I think I would scan the cards on my scanner bed (3 wide by 3 rows) and then resize if desired and stitch the images together into one huge image.

I don't know many good ways to photograph cards just by laying them down. I always get too dark (no or ineffective flash) or flash glare off the card surfaces. The scanner would give a better view of the front of the card plus eliminate a lot of chances of getting glare or image being too dark.

I thought about scanning them in the 9 cards format, but I wanted to see them all together in one photo. I figured with the photo quality you can get from smartphones now there would be techniques to minimize glare and produce quality photos. However I do not know them!

I love this thread

Me too! =)

It's kinda weird, you would think there would be other collector's out there that do this. I have only met one, and he is only doing the 2018 Topps Washington Nationals Independence Day /76 team set.

I guess it's lonely at the top (of a mountain nobody else bothers to climb).

I think most people are collecting less and flipping more. This is such a cool collection

I'm rather proud of this next one. So many low serial #ed cards in it - 2 Tulowitzki's /25, a Morneau /17, a Helton /22, a Rosario /21, and an Arenado /10. Actually scored 2 Arenado's right off the bat after release (the #01/10 and #02/10) but had to wait a long while to find the Morneau and Helton.

A bit of a different addition to this - here's my 2016 Topps Update Trevor Story stash.

2016 Topps Update BH CL RC #US114 (#52/65); 2016 Topps Update RC #US226 (#26/65, 42/65, 47/65, 65/65); 2016 Topps Update RD RC #US150 (#01/65, 11/65, 46/65, 59/65, 63/65)

2016 Topps Update BH CL RC #US114 (#25/50, 35/50); 2016 Topps Update RD RC #US150 (#12/50, 48/50); 2016 Topps Update RC #US226 (#16/50, 27/50 jersey #)

Interesting fact about 2016 Topps Update - Topps didn't carry over the Vintage /99 parallel from series 1 & 2 in Update this year, so there were only Black /65 and Pink /50 parallels.
