Geologists near Mexico City registered a "fake earthquake" right after the goal.

And Brazil with an inconsistent game. For 20 minutes they looked divine, but not enough to avoid tying a pretty solid Swiss squad...

They're obviously not sending their best soccer players over the border

Dammit, late header by Kane (2) saves England from a disappointing tie.

And I don't usually criticize Goalkeepers at this level, but man, I think he blew that one...

Hekuva match today too. Advance to 16, probably vs. Swiss. Korea is better than I thought but just not quite good enough.

And Kroos saved Germany with a literal last minute bender. GREAT shot with amazing consequences in the whole bracket, maybe in Germany politically. Unreal how close they were to almost elimination...

    Unreal.

With only two blowouts, and even with a couple of "boring" groups, so far this has been the best WC I can remember...

I'm guessing he was sweating his $$$$ off today.

Sweden wins group. Pre-tourney odds were about 50-1...

If you watched it in real time, it seemed like he almost missed it but caught half the ball, which actually caused the crazy spin he had and got him the goal
