Same with me. I picked up the other 3 for the price this alone would cost me. No thanks. I talked with the seller on the phone last year and the prices he wants for this and other Select prototypes/proofs are way beyond my reach, so he can just keep 'em! I know what the market is for my player and I'll just wait until they get there. If they don't, oh well.

bigunitcards is right - it's the same person who had all the '98 Pinnacle Certified/Select bankruptcy cards, selling under a different eBay ID

Are you guys considering getting your guy to sign them? Or are they more appealing without the autograph?

Iím beyond tempted to bite on the gold. I have the other 3 plus pack issued autos of green and blue. Canít pull the trigger at that price and donít want to lowball. I saved a picture in case it disappears before I can sell some stuff to raise the money.

Iím not. I have the two signed versions and Iím happy with that. I know a lot of collectors arenít into the unreleased stuff but Iíve become a fan over time. I like them just how they are.

I had planned to get my red & yellow signed at the National this year, but he got pulled off the final list of signers after being on the prelim one for months...

I’d be more tempted to buy the unsigned proofs from guys who didn’t make it into the actual 98 set... then have them sign it
