Found it at the national 3 years ago I think. Best $1 find ever
Yeah, that would be tough to beat.
My best find was probably one of those Topps MVP cards of Jose Canseco from 1999 or 2000. Unnumbered but stated to be 100 copies made, pretty tough to pull. I knew they were tough and Canseco had a good following even though he was at a very late stage in his career, so I paid 25 cents for it and flipped it for $20 or so. Back in the day when ebay arbitrage at shows was easy pickings.
Looking for 2011 Topps Marquee Museum autographs, rare Frank Thomases, and any Grady Sizemores I don't have

I found a 1996 Pinnacle Aficionado First Pitch Preview Dennis Martinez for a buck. Maybe it was two bucks, but whatever. Just wanted to have one in my collection to show what they look like. And Martinez was a hell of a pitcher, I forgot how good that guy was....

Hell yeah it is. I passed on a offer guy sent me back on gwynn at $150 and it sold for $200 5 minutes later still regret it 5 years later lol. And the real sad part was it was a card I never saw and didn’t know it existed.Originally Posted by timtom

I once got a 1996 Mirror Gold Bobby Abreu for $5 at a show.
Unfortunately not MY find, but this was supposedly found in a flea market somewhere in Iowa (or Kentucky) a couple of years ago. Imagine coming across this for $1!!!!

I once found an un-cherry-picked box of commons that included 2010 Bowman Platinum. I pulled 3 Trouts from it. Now, Trout wasn't HUGE at this point, but I knew I could get more than the ten cents I was paying (must have been 2011 or so). But I held onto them for another year or so, and ended up getting $20 ea. or so; whatever they hype was at the time.

2006 Ultimate Collection Printing Plate of Omar Vizquel for $4 a number of years back.
A member on here sold it, for me, on ebay for $1K, within a 1/2 hour of listing it.
