    Football Cards

I'm just getting into the NFL card hobby and I'm wondering what cards are currently considered desirable? Are older cards/players sought after or are the newer cards preferred?

For bulk base-type sets, I love base Score and Donruss.

Tons of cards, rookies and inserts and nice looking IMO too...

Donruss Optic is a nice set, a Chrome version of base Donruss, kind of like Topps Chrome was a nice version of the base set.

For "higher" end, Playoff Contenders is usually the most valuable, especially the Rookie autographs. Elite usually looks like nice and is sought after too.

Since Panini has the exclusive rights to make licensed NFL cards, most people think a lot of their products are basically the same, design and value wise.
