I discovered TCMA not long after I started collecting. I received a handful of their free catalogs over the course of a couple years and still have a couple. One of the purchases I remember fondly was the black bordered TCMA Hall Of Fame postcard set that I still have to this day. I would love to spend a day (or many) going through the stuff Aronstein probably still has.

"Andrew Aronstein shared a letter documenting the sale of the Wagner in 1974 for $1300 to his father Mike. In 1984 he sold it for $23,000."

That 1974 $1300 in todays money with inflation is about $7,230.87
In 1984 $23,000 would be about $57,000 with inflation for 2020

Now I wonder what condition that card was/is in...what PSA grade it would receive. Maybe it's already been graded and is one of the more publicized copies out there.

I remember Collector's Sportslook printed a clipping from a 1940s newspaper item saying a Wagner sold for the unthinkable sum of $25. IIRC, it also listed the buyer's name and address, as was common with newspapers in the old days.
