Ah, to be enjoying the start of a project like this. So many to add, it's almost overwhelming. I would advise you to be patient and get the items you want the most, rather than just looking to add volume to the collection over quantity. Most of the signatures are probably plentiful enough to wait for a better item or signature. You can also really do some damage to a want list with small lots when you need more than you have.
I don't count the signatures for mine, but I do look for unique cards. If I could, I'd have every different card of every Dodger player signed. Some might be satisfied with 1 signature, but I do love a full Topps run signed, for example!

Yeah I’m getting a bunch of commons and sending them out TTM, and spending on nicer PC items. Got my spreadsheet of team sets from 1909-1985 and who’s still signing and such. Working towards getting at least 1 full set signed this year
