Since there has to be one rep from each team arguing who gets in and who's left out is a moot point to me. Because of that very deserving people will get left out and your left with teams that really don't have the best players in baseball. The all star game is about celebrating the best players in baseball for that given year. Not celebrating baseball and the teams as a whole.

I think it is important to explain who should not have made it if you argue who should have

Keep in mind position and rule about one player per team

Votto over which other 1B?
He also missed a few weeks

Yea, I guess 1B is pretty stacked up for NL, but how about Cabrera, AL didn't choose as many 1st base as NL, right?

Well if Josh Hamilton can be on the DL for a long time and make it then
Chris Carpenter should have made it

Yea, I don't get Josh Hamilton...

Miggy and pablo (although he has a shot). It'd be nice to have a batter in the ASG for once. Pablo would be the first position player since Matt Williams to come up through the farm system as a position player and make the all star game!
