New collection for me...

the 1909 T206 Boston braves team set

was looking for a nice vintage challenge and thought this would ft in with my PC very nicely. PLMK if you have any.

Here are the cards in the set (VG values) :
Bates, Johnny Batting 25.00
Bumont, Ginger Portrait 25.00
Beck, Fred Fielding 25.00
Becker, Beals Fielding 25.00
Bowerman, Frank Portrait 25.00
Dahlen, Bill Portrait 27.50
Ferguson, Cecil Ready to Throw 25.00
Graham, Peaches Fielding 25.00
Herzog, Buck Sweater 35.00
Lindaman, Vive Ready to Throw 35.00
Mattern, Al Portrait 25.00
Ritchey, Claude Batting 25.00

Not sure how long this will take on a 15 year old budget but with my B-day coming up in october, I hope to get a few of these as gifts and some others with b-day money.

Great idea for a collection. My first pre-war card was Bates' T206. Unfortunately, I don't have it any longer. Becker's card is my favorite of the Braves team. Good luck, and keep us updated within this thread.

I hope to get most of them by te end of this year, or at least 5 or 6. I found a copy of everyone but vive on eBay. Know of any good sites to find vintage around psa 3-5? I'll make a new thread with the cards I pick up

Well, be thankful you do not have any of the BIG names to acquire.....nice idea and good luck!!

YOu have no idea how happy i am about not having big name guys in the team set. I've found almost all of them on ebay except for vive and one other i think.

i tyed to do that fpr the senators but Walter Johnson kept comming up so i will have to start saving up,

Well, I missed out in the first card of the set. I was making some deals on here when people stopped repling to my pms with prices so I couldn't bid. I have a felling that This is gonna be a long project
