Yeah that was a shocker (as soon as my father heard the news he called me, Dave was one of his favorite Astros in the 80's). Rest in peace Dave, you are in our prayer's!

I remember him as the closer for the astros in '86 against the Mets.

Way to young to die.

As an aside, my brothers name is also Dave Smith so I always enjoyed following his career with the Astros.
