I didnt realize you were going after Triple Folders. I love that set and they are actually affordable (for the most part) as well. Nice collection you have going.

I picked up another Diamond Star Hall of Famer. I am loving this set with each card I purchase. Looking for lower grades with little or no creases that present nice. These cards are 83 years old so as long as they have great eye appeal I am going to collect them.

I owe it all to this thread that got me interested in these guys.

I am looking for an affordable Averill #100 to complete the high numbers! Love it that you are enjoying these. Though they don't quite fit my Yankees collection 9which I already have for both sets), I enjoy the T202 and Diamond Stars cards the most and buy some occasionally. At 42 T202 and 65 Diamond Stars! No plans to complete either, but you never know!

Very cool pick ups. The Ruth doesn't look like him at all.

I love finding local baseball memorabilia. Sure, there are no major leaguers here, but how cool is this postcard of a local game being played in a cleared hayfield? I'll have to contact the Schaumburg Historical Society and see if they can tell me where the "Schaumburg Ball Grounds" were located. There's no writing on the card, and it was never mailed, so best I can determine photo is circa 1910-1919. I work in Schaumburg (25 miles NW of Chicago) and used to live here, so significant to me. I love seeing the spectators with a car parked on the sideline, and the umpire standing next to the pitcher. Amazing both how much the game has changed in 100 years and yet how it is basically the same.

Local photographers would sell RPPC. They etched the words on the negative and then developed the postcard. The 2628 would just be a stock number for that particular card.
