Love the 59's!
You can pick up some latter 50's and early 60's stuff at really good prices in the PSA 5-6 range, as a lot of collectors want 7's or better. That's your gain and it looks like you're gaining a lot!

Thanks Danny! Yes, i dont mind 5's at all, and will take lower if the price is just too low to pass up, ya know?

I am so jealous for I haven't picked up a single vintage card in a really long time. Starting to see some new faces to the vintage crew here and that is good. Nice pick ups everyone!

I must say this. i remember when your '55 PSA 7 set was in progress back on the BMB

i had a lot of respect for you putting together that set way back then.

i now have a TON more respect for you, now that im learning how NIGHT and DAY
different 5's, 6's and 7's are in price!

Vintage, its a whole new ballgame, go figure! lol

card show pickups plus a scan of my first t206 card, my first 1933 goudey card (or any goudey card), and the Howard was an ebay pickup.

I always loved those 59 multi-player cards. The Cubs Clubbers was one of my favorites because of the really bright colors. That 65 McCovey had great color, too.

My 1964 Topps Stand-Up Mantle SGC 60 arrived today. Not a great scan, due to the holder.

Great pickups everyone! Nothing new for me for a while now, maybe in the coming weeks.

Dano, I too have found a lot of SGC holders are tough to scan, especially with my new scanner. Nice looking Mantle, even through the blur!

Dano, another drool worthy pickup, thanks for sharing!

One of my (what seems like a gazillion) incarnations before i started this vintage beast,
was Game Used Bat cards of HOFers and players that i felt will be HOFers.
unfortunately for my wallet, ive decided id like to own a GU Bat, GU Jersey and where
applicable, an on-card pack issued auto card of the Vintage 500 HOF Club.

Picked this up from a Board Member at the Hofstra Show:

Yes, some of the corners arent "Mint" but i think they look great anyway.
I have some others "en route" as well

My newest, old Mantle arrived today. I just need the 1952 Bowman and 1952 Topps to have all of the regular issue Mantle cards from his playing years.
