1000!! Alan Trammell's Updated 3/6/2011

I'm hitting the home stretch on 1000 cards in my Alan Trammell Collection. I probably wont hit it until sometime after the new year (unless someone sells a collection), but I'm going to countdown the additions here. Today in the mail I received 960 and 961:

960- 2005 Timeless Treasures Material Ink Jersey /50 from sportlots

961- 2005 Donruss Greats Platinum Proof /50 thanks to our own chilly55

I few more cards are en route and I will scan and add them as I get them!

Nice pickups, best of luck reaching the milestone!

Hopefully it will take you much less time than it has been taking me. I started the year at 950 and have yet to reach 1,000.

Impressive.

It might not be much to many of the super-collectors here, but kudos for keeping an organized track of the collection....something I haven't been able to handle with my Sosa collection.

nevermore - I know how it is, i was stuck around 940 for a while but have been picking things up pretty steadily lately. Does O'neill have a lot of post retirement cards? I have more post retirement Trammells now than pre 2000 I believe.

Tons - yes, i do have that, thanks for asking though.

ffgameman - I was lucky enough to download a checklist before openchecklist went all haywire, and added what was missing in. Another collector has a very detailed checklist that I was able to combine into mine, and I recently redid the entire thing into a very nicely organized checklist. Im not sure what I would do without it.

Yeah, it can definitely get slow at times. But as the maildays get less frequent, the more I value each one.

O'Neill has exactly 1,000 cards during his playing years 1982-2002 listed in Beckett (nice round number!), and a bit over 300 post retirement cards from 2003-present. I noticed Trammell has around 1,300 cards just like O'Neill, but your breakdown is much tougher.

Nice work and good luck getting to 1000. I think I'm a couple hundred behind you, but my checklist sorely needs updating. Have you noticed how recently some Trammell inserts and parallels are starting to go for solid money? For example, there is a DK non-auto/non-jersey #'d to 25 that is at $30 with over a day to go.

Nevermore- I do have a want list, but its just Trammells complete checklist with what I have marked off. Its an excel worksheet.

Alex, I have noticed cards going for a lot more, and im not really a fan. The card you mention is especially weird since one of the auto/dual materials/25 from the same set sold for 17 dollars last week or so. If you ever update your list, feel free to look through mine for anything you might need, I have a list of doubles made now as well.

964 - 09 Upper Deck 20th Anniversary Buybacks

I was able to acquire the 09 UD Buyback from another Trammell collector via trade. Thanks to Allstarauction who let me know where to look for it!

Congrats on coming as far as you have! 1,000 is a huge milestone for player collectors. I'm around 750 myself.

Personally, I don't like having to scroll through a massive first post so I like when people post new additions in new posts.

Heres the last 4 Ive received. Theres been much more competition for Trammells lately. I was able to pick up my 3rd Aqueous test though, and will be sending them out for authentication. Only 6 more to go!
