BREAK CANCELED

OK, we are good to go on this one. And it is now the full 35-case break
It will follow the TOS set-up here by FCB mods, and will be a LIVE break (as long as it takes, lol) on USTREAM.com
The slots will be numbered 1-225, and once filled with use RANDOM.com to randomize the list of names, clicking on Randomize 3 times to get final list.

Bowman Chrome is due out 11/3/10, and the cases are provided by ATLANTA SPORTS CARDS.

PRICING...UPDATED
I am estimating $10-$15 per slot for shipping/supplies/fees which are included in the slot pricing
So...here is the pricing structure
1 Slot: $125
2 Slots: $250
3 Slots: $375
4 Slots: $500
5 Slots: $620
6 Slots: $740
7 Slots: $860
8 Slots: $980
9 Slots: $1100
10 Slots: $1215
any extra slots above 10 are $120 per slot
NOTE: ***If in the event Topps lowers the auto prospect/usa from say the 60 total proposed to say 50, slot prices will move up $5 per slot ***

PAYMENT will be due by the closing date of this group break, which will be 3pm central Sunday 10/24, this way I can plan to rip open myself if break does not get filled...IF break is close to being filled at that time then this may be extended, but otherwise you will relinquish your slot(s).
Paypal or money order accepted.

Re: 35-case Bowman Chrome 2010 Group Break

The $130 gets you one of the 225 slots listed. So not necessarily one player.
Some of the team slots and insert lots will yield many different players and 100s of cards. I guess I could do the math to estimate most of the lots but many have been doing it for a week while I was figuring out best way and to ensure value in each lot.
The prospect lots should yield well over 100 of each with parallels. Each chrome prospect auto should yield an avg of 10 autos including parallels. Etc etc.

Re: 35-case Bowman Chrome 2010 Group Break

What process is used to determine what player you get? Draft/Random/Other?

Re: 35-case Bowman Chrome 2010 Group Break

Let me know if not clear but above I said it would be randomized by random.com
The slots are in order but we will randomize the names once full.
Draft would be awesome but when planning we didnt feel there would be enough time to draft all the slots

Re: 35-case Bowman Chrome 2010 Group Break

Doubt 200+ people are willing to risk the $130, though I'd probably give it a shot if there was a ton of interest.

Re: 35-case Bowman Chrome 2010 Group Break

I like the idea, however I think there may be a problem with separation of the USA Auto and base slots. Correct me if I am wrong, but I understand that you only get 1 USA autograph per case. That will mean possibly 35 USA autographs. Topps hasn't always been on with this as we saw in 2008 Bowman Draft as there was supposed to be one Aflac per case and I remember purchasing two cases and not receiving one and I know there were several others on the board that did not as well. I also know some cases had two Aflacs, regardless there that chance on being shorted on several cases. Besides being shorted, the odds are good that you will pull at least one of each USA autograph (base or parallel), but there is also that chance that you may not pull one of the players so a person dropping $130 on one slot may get absolutely nothing at all. If the slots are combined, even though the slot price would go up, that person that received the USA slot would at least come away with base and parallels.

I would personally rather be randomly slotted a vet slot because I know I will have a 100% chance of receiving something even if the parallels are crap. In my opinion if I was going to drop $130 on just one slot, I would like the option to have a draft rather than a random slot because of the chance of receiving a USA Autograph slot. I'd rather be unto my own power to draft a USA Autograph slot knowing full well I may not receive anything at all.

Being in a ton of breaks with AIC, it was realized that it is crucial to take out certain teams/players or combining them because in the end, you want the consumer to at least have a chance on pulling something decent, otherwise in the end, it can be a HUGE headache.

It's just my opinion and obviously you can run the break however you like, but my advice to avoid headaches from such a large break as this one is to combine the USA base and Autographs.

Doubt 200+ people are willing to risk the $130, though I'd probably give it a shot if there was a ton of interest.

You may be right but many have helped plan this. And if 22 people buy 10
Slots then it's covered. It may not get filled. I undersand that.
But if some are willing to pay $85 or so for a slot in a 2 case break of Topps chrome well then...

Re: 35-case Bowman Chrome 2010 Group Break

The USA autos are 1:5 boxes. So should be 84 in the 35 12-box cases.
This has been all calculated and a month of planning.
Me, the mods, and others have spent much time on this.

Ok then, I stand corrected. That's even better.

Re: 35-case Bowman Chrome 2010 Group Break

The USA are 1:5 boxes.
And if any slot was to get nothing then it would be refunded. But this is 35 cases.

Again. The draft was considered and if many want it and can be reconsidered but we would be on a very tight schedule if that is how we go. Having to draft 25 slots a day for 10 days.

Also I forgot to say that besides the Logoman patches being a random extra hit so will the new bonus /100 autos. Was going to make it a slot alone but was an odd 226 number and more fun this way.
I'll add it above soon.

Re: 35-case Bowman Chrome 2010 Group Break

I appreciate all the feedback and questions. Keep em coming
I know this is big and I want it to be very clear.

Jim (bc addict) said it best.
Just like any break, he used the rookie retro break as an example, there strains slots with lesser value but I tried my best to ensure max value using the least amount of slots. Shoot even many of the base slots have 500+ cards with rookies and parallels. So tried my best and those I've spoken to think that even the worst lot will hold more value than most group breaks such as rookie retro. There's always a risk or gamble but really tried.

Re: 35-case Bowman Chrome 2010 Group Break

$6-7 is the usual one slot price for a player slot in these type of breaks on here. This should be $210-245 a slot by that math for 35 cases. This break is under $4 per slot per case. I mean, I think this is a steal of a deal. Seems to me to be very little risk associated with this. I am open to a draft or the random way you have it now. Doesn't matter to me.

I would think about joining if we maybe randomized what we were getting every 3 cases or so because the risk of getting stuck with a chrome card for the whole break is whats driving me away.
