Just worked with an old checklist I had, an updated recent cards that I know I've gotten in.

It has me at 616 Sosa cards (not even close to 1500) but I know I have to be higher up than that. Before My Collection (Beckett) changed I had around 500....I know I've gotten more than 115 since then.

I went through my list tonight and I have 2,441 Beckett recognized Bagwells. That means that I have 233 Bagwell cards either not recognized by Beckett or unaccounted for by Beckett(such as the Topps Teks and other various cards).

I also show that I have 1,257 unique Beckett recognized cards prior to the year 2000 which is good for me since I was hoping that I had more of these than the later years. The later years are clogged with parallels and such so I have always decided to focus more on the earlier years first. And while its certainly easy to find some of his normal cards from 1991-1994...some of the others were not easy. Certainly not easier than finding random parallels post 2000. You could pick those up all day long. In any case...just figured I'd post these stats as a bookmarker for me.

docdw25-Great milestone! Congrats!

Predatorkj-Such a great collection! I, too, have really begun to focus on early cards (for me 1982-1996). I keep telling myself "nothing new, nothing new!", but I always cave and buy some crazy 2000-2010 card... Theres a dozen or so early less expensive Gwynns I watch and watch... even at a few dollars more than what I think they're worth I still wait and wait. I would love to start knocking out years! (example: I need 3 from 1985, 1 from 1986, 1 from 1987...etc)

Just out of curiosity, which cards from the 1980’s are you still missing at this point?

A couple of those shouldn't be too tough. The stickers, Tiffany, and Fleer should be pretty easy to obtain, no?

I have everythign up to 1991 completed. In 1992 and 1993, I am a few cards shy. The problem is they are really hard to find and in some cases damn near impossible to find. So I don't hold too much hope of seeing them for some time. Plus the bidding would be insane to the point where I'd be a distant third or fourth I would imagine. The cards I need are too rare.

But yeah...I just wanted to get as much of every one of the pre 2000 years knocked out that I can. Besides...some of the 90's inserts are the best to have IMO.

Definitely, but like I said, I wait for a price I like, and/or I "waste" money on 2000 and above cards! :p Just recently I got organized enough to even make this list, so I should start knocking them out!

I used to have 2300+ different Griffey Jr. cards. Probably still have about 1800 or so but I couldn't give you an exact total...I sold off all the good ones and the rest are just sitting in a box waiting to meet the same fate. Just sayin.

its been awhile since I updated but I am now at 1733/2665 or 65%. Got a big trade from a former Canseco collector which really boosted my PC. I have also made a good sized trade for non recognized cards which I now have probably between 400-500 total of all different. my collection unlike many of the others here does not contain a double.. I don't buy or keep doubles of anything.. if I get one I sell or trade it if possible.

Just wanted to update my number to 2501 different McGwire cards.

New total is 2827 and more importantly I'm finally over the 50% completion mark. I had to pick up 300 cards in the last three months to get there. Thanks to all the people that have traded with me to put me over the top.
