Finished my 2003 Fleer Avant set with HOF and RC SP's. Had the base set laying around, decided to find the 25 SP's (HOF #/799, Rookies #/699). Took about 3 months. Always thought these were the best looking base cards of the early 00's.

That's a very underrated set. High-quality product there.

2001 Ultra Platinum Medallion 21/50 :D

On the way to my house as I speak, thanks COMC :D

What an interesting card LOL Not often I see the photo is of the player stretching. Also, who is that in the background? It doesn't look like Hidalgo to me(?)

Doesn't look like he is stretching. Looks like he slid into 2nd. Looks like Jeff Kent behind him going for the tag.

But look at his left leg. It looks like he is sitting in grass doing his "hollywood stretches". More than likey a play at second but does look odd. But I think Kent would be pulling up from placing the tag. Why slap down a tag with the guy already on the base. Looks like Hidalgo is looking to the ump for the call.

Beckett recongnizes a lot of show exclusive cards. But they also fail to recognize a lot of them too. And in the case of some, you could choose to get a card you pulled, to get stamped with the show embelem. I figure it would be too hard to for Beckett to police what got stamped and what didn't.

This poor thread! Always taking the backseat to it's older, much prettier older sister!

Got this in last week:
BLUE #'d/250 but seems much harder to get than that!

Okay, so technically this is mid-2000's and it's a different kind of Super Sweet, but I just had to show it off:

Do you see what I see?

I did a little research and so far as I can tell it's technically one of only 41 that could possibly be this way - 23 of which are from that 2000 Topps Limited reprint series.

And got it for like $2 on COMC

thought I'd share some recent early 2000 inserts...cards look much better in person, but thanks for looking!

The Piazza actually has a very funny cut--I've seen a couple other 2000 Fleer Showcase Legacy /20 with a similar diagonal cut and was wondering if anyone else had seen them. It's *kind of* annoying

Cheapest... Bagwell... Ever...

Scored it for 5 cents, and combined it with another card that was 59 cents to make the total like 2 bucks shipped.
