Picked this up because I had never seen one before

Its printed on the same vinyl that was used for the wild vinyl and the 2000 pacific prism proofs.

Cool! Never seen one of those before. Wasn't sure if they were /1 or /10 like the other wild vinyls and 2000 Pacific Prism Proofs... Although I suppose Vanguard had the silver parallels /10 so it makes sense. Neat to see.

Nice purple! Very hard to find, got my Juan a year ago.

Funny I can find serial numbered to 50 and 25 cards easer than the 2001 Fleer Triple Crown Purple.
Or say this card I just got in today. It only took 17 years to get it.::facepalm:: I wonder how many were sent in?

That Elimination is great! I've never seen a Thomas...nice, nice find! I do have the Onyx 35/99 though.

From the late '90s, the 1999 Prism Retail Red is killing me similarly.

I got the #/100 Game Ball with the amazing lettering on it way back in 2000, it was the first 'big' RJ card I ever bought where I spent a good amount of money (for a 16 year old).

The #/25 Auto version I just got in today, it's the first one I've seen in the past 4 years, and I have absolutely no recollection of seeing one back in 2000-2004.

I just love the layout on these cards with the thin lines and small details, quintessential early 2000s UD design.

^^ Awesome stuff! Nice Juans, Bernies, Clemens and RJs.

The 2000 GOTG set served as the catalyst that got me collecting again. I was at the local mall back in 2001 and came across a card table selling the 2000 Greats of the Game base cards. I paid $5 for the Mattingly base, wishing I could land the autographed version some day. That was the only card I would buy for a long time until I started collecting seriously in 2003. One of the first things I did when I caught the collecting bug was buy the 2000 GOTG complete set.

All these years later, I finally bit the bullet. Yes, it's expensive for a Mattingly auto, but it's a short-print of a now classic set.
