During my box breaks pulled one the base Meteoric Rise cards and reminded me of this Gem MCGwire refractor. It was graded a mere 4 months after the set came out back in 2001. The 2000-2001 time frame had a lot of nice inserts. I'm torn about whether to send the BGS over to PSA as its one of my oldest BGS graded items. The PSA one is actually headed to PSA again for the new lighthouse slab

Damn I didn’t win either was a bit surprised where it ended up

Do these look super awesome I hand? I’m kicking myself for not going bigger

I'm happy with the Burnett. It looks great and the type collector in me is happy I didn't have to spend the $500+ it would have cost to acquire someone like Pedro.

The Jeter 1/1 came up for sale recently and went relatively low because it was in bad condition:

I loved those meteoric rise refractors when they came out. Tracking down a set is on my to do list.

Got this just after Christmas. Never thought I would get one. I hit the BIN as fast I could.

Congrats - those are a beauty! Tough tracking down the auto'd ones.

One of my most impressive collecting feats is finding all 4 variations of the Mark Grace, and each one is serial numbered 17/XX, his jersey number!
