Definitely happy with my submission mainly because the Schmidt and/or the Killebrew gemmed. I thought the chances the Killebrew would get a subbump were much greater than the Schmidt gemming. I also felt the Frank Thomas was a sure gem the first time I subbed it but it took three tries. In addition, the Rendons (and all three APOH cards) were resubs from February? when the grader decided I should own over half the Rendons graded under 9.5. :evil: I was upset when I cracked them out just to see 4 of the 6 should have easily gemmed.

Invest in a 5x, 10x or 15x loop. Makes a big difference. BGS uses a 10x loop to review cards.

Those Sano Chrome autos are a pain - I threw the kitchen sink at them and it shows...at least I got one 9.5 (and on a refractor auto). These were the best of the best, so all the 8.5's hurt...may resub a few. Very surprised my platinum red only 9'd...it is nicer than the 9.5 I have. The Heyward 7...ouch. I must have missed something on the back - that stinks. My worst group sub - bound to happen.

Yeah, it will have a slip of paper on it that makes it clear why it didn't meet the grade.

Phil,

Got my 20 day order today. Hate to say it, but there are some major problems with this order. Only 2 of the 10 slabs made it to me without significant damage and the APOH Frank Thomas 9.5 was damaged because the sleeve broke open, similar to what happened to the Lasorda. The edge of the card is raised though not easily noticeable like the Lasorda was. Here's a photo of the top of the box when I opened it with two pieces of the top of slabs easily seen:



Usually, everything goes very well though I suppose this is bound to happen on occasion. I'll send you a pm once I figure out what it is that I want to do with each card and I'm sure you'll get it worked out. Thanks.

They do come with paper but they never are clear as to why something didn't make the grade. Heck the ones I just got weren't even marked at all, it is like they didn't even take the card out of the plastic.
