Really cool card/s and I know we've talked about them before but does Beckett recognize this card/s for other player collectors or is this not recognized by beckett bc I don't see it on Belle's Beckett checklist (not like all cards are on there anyways but just wondering)

Not listed for Daulton, either.

Not listed for Olerud either.

I don't include it in my master checklist, originally because I didn't know it existed since it isn't listed on beckett.com. I only include multiplayer cards that picture a handful of players like "league leaders" cards or those '05 Absolute Memorabilia Team Six or Team Quad cards. I don't include team picture cards, or cameos for that matter. I figure I have to draw the line somewhere!

Exactly my thought process with Belle

Can someone give me a crash course in Crusades? I want to get a few cheap ones.

What products, what variations, how rare, what I should pay for a common, anything else I need to know?

1998 crusades come in green (#'d 250), Purple (#'d 100), and Red (#'d 25). There are also unnumbered versions (bankruptcy extras) that are likely 1/1's and executive series numbered with x's (***/250, xxx100, xx/25).

A lot of the executive series cards recently surfaced on COMC and a number of player collectors scored their player.

As for prices, they vary. Even common players can carry large price tags. Red and Purples almost always go for decent price tags. Some greens can be had for less than $10, but that doesn't happen too often.

I picked up a Purple Mark Kotsay from R&S for $9 on COMC right before those Executives were listed. To me, that's a steal. One of my LCSs has a Green Bubba Trammell for $5, I've considered picking it up just for the hell of it. These cards look so much better in person, a scan just doesn't do them justice.

Pardon my ignorance, but isn't the Certified one the one they mail you back along with the 44 cards after you mail in the redemption? I believe they're more common than the redemptions because everyone wanted the set.

Yes it is!

On a side note, does anybody know if there is a corrected version of '93 Winner D (non-certified version)?

That's the one. Don't sell too cheap, b/c I know there a bunch of die hard player collector's looking for that one. You should go the ebay route with it, but make sure you mention each and every player on the card (first name, last name, spelled correctly) in your description to maximize the bids, since that card could potentially go to 44 different player collector specialists. I'd guess $75, but I wouldn't be a bit surprised if it sold for well over $100. I've personally been asked to find that card at least 7 or 8 times. The keys on the card are Puckett, Ripken, Griffey, Thomas, among a couple others.
Thanked

Cool I'll get it on EBay when I can. Nice to find something in an old box.
i would do $75 now. no ebay fees!

I'll do $100 right now!!

Yea, I guess I like to gamble and listed it on ebay.

I did thank all the posts that made an offer.

If Greg Layton or clarkfan wins it I'll meet you and hand deliver it, if you both still live in the KC area.

I appreciate that, but unfortunately it's out of my price range for now. Plus I have my eyes on a First Pitch Preview... the one Daulton 90s card that might be rarer than an ABCD winner.

Best of luck to you.

I'd be interested in trading for any featuring Robin Ventura, I think he appears on the D card?

speaking of 1993 topps gold winner cards...I dug out my original ones from when I was a kid... I have a question.... on the D card.

I have:
B (Non-Certified X2 Maddux is in B)
C (Certified)
D (Certified)
C/D (Certified)

on the D certified there is an error in the verbiage on the back of the card, I wondered if all the D certified cards are this way or if there are two different variations one with the error and one without the error?

on the back of the D card it says on the top:
"Congratulations You've just won 22 (*note...22) ToppsBlackGold Cards numbered 34-44 Group D. These Cards are part of the 44 card 1993 ToppsBlackGold Baseball Special Set. Group D consists of the following players:
34-44 and names listed. (has the right cards/numbers listed for Group D)

the C/D card has the same exact verbiage (other than saying you win 23-44 C/D) and has the two columns of players you win on it.

anyone else have a group D certified to check and see if yours says 11 or 22 on the back also?

edit: found it on COMC looks like it has the wrong number on it too. just figured I'd check!
edit2: all these are for trade also, I need:
B Certified
A/B Certified and Non
ABCD Certified (heh)and Non.

a smart gamble. i think the last one went for 100 plus change and i think it was the redeemed certified but that was a super long time ago. with all the attention just/mostly/all from these boards, i see the card doing just fine
