And Predator, once you put the promo in a stack of regulars, you can definitely see a difference in the size of the foil leaf logo, and the placement of that copyright logo. Scan yours and lets help you decide.

Judging from your scans and the fact that the logo seems to be the same size on all of mine, I'm thinking I don't have it. I'll try to get a scan up sometime shortly but for now...I'm leaning towards me not having it.

8 box case of 1999 Topps Tek spiked on eBay. The guy is willing to go as low as about $50 a box dlvd but you have to buy all 8 boxes. It got me thinking, are there many player collectors on here who even need their guy any longer? I am 2 patterns away from the full 1999 A and B for Albert Belle and part of me thinks all the value in these boxes are in the golds and you only get 1 or MAYBE 2 if you're lucky per box.

There would be a noticeable difference in the photo location on the card as well. On the promo, the card photo is lower than on the base card. You can tell the difference best by the amount of photo that is below the colored stripe where the name is or where the player is located in relation to the right edge of the holofoil field.

This bizarro card popped up on COMC today. Crap, I still can't figure out how to post the backside of a card from COMC. Anyway, it's serial numbered in the normal way, but someone handwrote "sample" on the back.

And it is sold now, by the way. I figure if McGriff 1/1s are going for $50 then I didn't want to pay $40 for this (seller's counteroffer). But it is certainly a conversation piece.

That McGriff 1/1 and a Platinum Gold are in two separate conversations. The $50 offer price is way low considering that commons are currently selling $30-$50. JMHO

My take on tag sales last weekend and this weekend. Sometimes its worth looking in the binders filled with old Score and Topps. Found these mixed in the pages.

Going through some pictures don't think I posted these before. Empty wrapper, empty box, checklists and marble set minus the Piazza.
