Also got this beauty. Wondering what exactly it is. I have never seen one like this with the prismatic silver foil. I just thought there was the base set with the flat silver and the gold parallel.

How about all the '93 Finest refractor PSA 10's that just sold! Lofton went for just over 500 bucks, more than I would have thought. Anyone pick one of these up?

A PSA 9 Bernie i was watching ended over $ 900

That makes no sense IMO. Almost half submitted have been 9s. There's 39 out there. That same one (serial #) PWCC just sold , went for $199 in 2013. Seems crazy to me.

Hi guys. I found a 98 donruss preferred with grandstand written in the background. Seems like a base card outside of the grandstand being written. Anyone know if this is just part of the base set? Any ideas on odds of these if it is an insert/parallel? I can't seem to find on beckett site.

Without a picture hard to tell you, but I am guessing it is one of the Preferred Power base cards. The cards numbered 268-297 were all preferred power cards of the biggest stars at the time. part of the base set with silver foil behind the picture and the words Grandstand or Mezanine written behind the player. Hope that helps

Nothing super sweet or super rare , I just have a question. Back in '98 Fleer did their Diamond Ink promotion. I have Arod in 2 different redemption cards, 1 Point and 5 Points. Are there other Point cards I'm unaware of that I need to keep an eye out for?

10 Fleer Diamond Ink Points Card

EDIT: Here's what the SCD catalog says. I'd have to check to make sure I didn't mis-list the Buhner.

These one-per-pack inserts
offer collectors a chance
to acquire genuine autographed
baseballs. Issued in denominations
of 1, 5 and 10 points, the
cards had to be accumulated to
a total of 500 points of the same
player to be redeemed for an autographed
ball of that player.
Cards are the standard 3-1/2" x
2-1/2" and are printed in black
and purple on front and black
and yellow on back. The point
value of each card is embossed
at center to prevent counterfeiting.
The rules of the exchange
program are printed on back.
The deadline for redemption
was Dec. 31, 1998. Values
shown are for 1-pt. cards. The
unnumbered players in the series
are listed alphabetically.

It's tough to tell from the photo but it's a 1997 SPX Mark McGwire Grand Finale /50. I'm not a big McGwire guy but I thought it was a fair price ($50) so I said, why not?
